Hundreds of people enjoyed a sunny Open Day at the popular Peacock Railway attraction in Willaston, writes Jonathan White.
Guests were treated to miniature steam and battery-electric train rides for two laps around the impressive 5-inch gauge track which is nearly a quarter of a mile long.
The Society also showcased their gauge 1 (45mm) railway layout, which stretches to 95 metres (310 feet).
It is believed to be the longest in the North West.
Display boards and photos offered a peek into the world of model engineering, from steam lorries to stationary engines and even marine models.
Each miniature train ride is £1, helping raise vital funds for the society.
The next stop for members of the public at the attraction is on Sunday June 1st.
The track is run by the South Cheshire Model Engineering Society, which has more then 100 society members and up to 40 dedicated volunteers turning out on event days.
