
A man from Nantwich and another from Crewe have been charged in connection with offences outside the religious group centre raided by police last month.
Daniel Tsimbilakis and Jordan Kennerley were arrested on Sunday (May 31st) in the Victoria Avenue area of Crewe.
Tsimbilakis, 34, of Barony Road, Nantwich, has since been charged with public order offences, namely using threatening behaviour or words to cause alarm or distress.
Kennerley, 42, of Badger Avenue, Crewe, has been charged with using violence to secure entry to a premises.
Both men have been conditionally bailed to appear at Crewe Magistrates’ Court on Tuesday June 23rd.
On Sunday, Police imposed as dispersal order in an area around Webb House in Crewe after reports of disturbances.
A number of protests have taken place outside the centre which is home to the Ahmadi Religion of Peace and Light.
This follows raids on the centre by police amid allegations of serious sexual offences, forced marriage and modern slavery.
In a statement on Sunday, Cheshire Police said: “We are continuing to investigate the full circumstances of an incident at Webb House. This is not linked to any previous investigation. No further comment will be made while enquiries are ongoing.”
