st luke's bring pound to work day

St Luke’s Hospice in Cheshire are calling on Nantwich organisations to support the “Bring a Pound to Work” fundraiser on Wednesday July 16 to help raise vital funds for patient care.

The initiative is open to businesses of all shapes and sizes, from local shops and offices to large corporations and everything in between.

Whether it’s a team of two or 200, everyone is encouraged to take part and make a difference.

The last “Bring a Pound to Work Day” held in 2022 involved 41 workplaces coming together to support St Luke’s raising more than £5,000.

Andy Bailey, St Luke’s Corporate Partnerships Manager, said: “The reason that Bring a Pound to Work Day has worked so well in the past is because it’s simple, affordable and open to all businesses across the area.

“It’s about everyone coming together to pledge just £1 for their local Hospice, which collectively has a hugely positive impact on our ability to continue providing vital patient care.”

The emphasis is on fun and any workplaces wanting to “go big” for the day are encouraged to get creative by running their own prize raffles, bake sales and sweepstakes.

To get involved, sign up your business through the St Luke’s website, ask colleagues and workmates to bring in £1 each, and on Wednesday July 16 St Luke’s will collect your donations.

St Luke’s also offer the option to pay in your pounds online through their JustGiving page here.
