Nantwich Town Women made it two wins from two in the North West Women’s Regional League Division One South with a 4-0 hammering of AFC Crewe.
The Dabbers flowed with confidence, composure, and attacking flair as two goals each by Katie Greenwood and Amanda Fallon eased them to victory.
Katie Naylor was named Player of the Match for her commanding performance, while Greenwood picked up the Players’ Player award to go alongside her two goals.
Team manager Dan Mellor praised his side’s all-round display.

He said: “I’m delighted with the way we handled the game.
“AFC Crewe are always physical and make it tough, but our players stood tall, embraced the challenge and then showed real quality, especially in the second half.
“The football, the goals and the togetherness was outstanding and to finish with a 4-0 win is a brilliant reward for the work the players put in.
“It’s been a positive start to the season but we know there’s a heck of a long way to go.
“There’s still elements of our game we can improve on but so far we’ve stood up to the tests and had 2 very positive results.”
The result continues a fine start to the season in a league which includes established names such as Altrincham, Chester, Liverpool Feds, Macclesfield, Manchester Laces, Runcorn Linnets, Warrington Town, and Wirral Phoenix.
