10 Swine Market - Legat Owen

A Commercial property consultancy says securing new tenants for three town centre units shows Nantwich is still a “thriving destination” for retailers.

Legat Owen has helped to find new tenants for the properties at 10 Swine Market, 31 Pepper Street and 3 Church Lane.

Hope House Hospices is moving to Swine Market, Whitegates is taking over the Pepper Street unit, and new Italian patisserie will be opening at the Church Lane site.

They offer a combined total of over 4,000 sq ft of prime retail space in central locations.

As reported on Nantwich News, Hope House Children’s Hospices are moving to the retail unit on Swine Market, formerly occupied by B&M.

The relocation supports Hope House’s mission to raise £10 million every year so the charity can provide professional care and support to local children with life-threatening conditions.

Andy Butler, director at Legat Owen, said: “The new premises at Swine Market offer a fantastic opportunity for the charity to grow its presence in Nantwich and continue its invaluable work in the region.

“The new store is set to open in November, providing improved facilities, greater floor space and a refreshed shopping experience for supporters and visitors.

“It was good to work with our client, the new owner Apavi, to bring part of the property’s ground floor retail area back to life, particularly as it had been empty for some time under previous ownership.”

The property at 31 Pepper Street comprises 838 sq ft across two storeys, allowing Whitegates to relocate their letting agency to larger premises.

Shaun Cafferty, director at Whitegates, said: “Due to the substantial growth of our award-winning estate agency business, we needed a larger space to operate from and to welcome customers into, whilst remaining in the heart of Nantwich.

“Legat Owen had the ideal property and helped make the process easy.”

And as revealed by Nantwich News, 3 Church Lane will soon be home to La Dolce Vita, an Italian patisserie and café.

Mr Butler added: “We’re delighted to have secured new tenants for these three properties, which are all superbly located within Nantwich town centre.

“The level of interest we received reflects the strength of the local market and the continued appeal of Nantwich as a retail and leisure destination.

“These lettings are a fantastic reflection of the confidence businesses have in Nantwich town centre.

“Each of these occupiers brings something unique to the high street, and we’re proud to play a part in supporting the town’s continued growth and appeal.”
