A man from Birmingham has been jailed following two burglaries at homes in Wistaston and Weston.
Shafiollah Amiree, 24, targeted a house on Parklands Drive in Weston and stole keys to a grey Audi which he then fled the scene in.
Days later, he targeted a house on Park Drive in Wistaston from where a BMW and Ford Focus were stolen.
The Audi was later found in Birmingham, and the Focus was found on Tunstall.
Investigations into the incidents were launched and officers recovered ANPR which showed the stolen Audi and stolen BMW were both in the Birmingham area shortly after the incident.
Both cars had been travelling in convoy with a white BMW which registered to an address on Birchdale Road, Birmingham.
Officers attended the address on June 24 and the white BMW was parked on the driveway.
Amiree was found inside the address and arrested after matching the appearance of the driver from the ANPR footage recovered by officers.
His phone was found and analysis placed him in the area at the time of both burglaries.
Amiree, of Birchdale Road, Birmingham, was charged in relation to both of the incidents and with two counts of driving while disqualified, as he had been banned from driving for three years in April 2025.
He pleaded guilty to two counts of burglary, three counts of theft of a motor vehicle and two counts of driving while disqualified.
He was sentenced to four years and six months in prison. He was also given an extended driving ban of five years and three months.
Detective Constable Jamie Roberts, said: “As this case demonstrates, if you commit crime in Cheshire, you will be caught and you will be brought to justice.
“No matter where you are from, there are no borders, and our officers are committed to travelling the length and breadth of the country to ensure that those who cause harm in our communities are held accountable for their actions.
“I hope that the sentence handed to Amiree will provide some reassurance for the victims in this case and allow them to move forward with their lives.
“I also hope that this case acts as a warning to anyone else who is thinking of coming to Cheshire to commit crime.”
