Nantwich Food Festival organisers have lined up around 200 exhibitors for this September’s three-day event, they confirmed today.

Exhibitors will be spread around the town centre and in both food courts over the weekend of September 4th-6th.

Loyal locals returning include Nantwich’s Crave, pies from Sandbach’s Cheshire Pie Company, additive-free bread from Food for Thought in Crewe, fridge-fresh pesto at Chester’s Hemingways, and Balterley’s Marshmallow and S’More.

Local gin producers Three Wrens Gins and Nantwich Gin will also feature.

Exhibitors from outside Cheshire will include Daddy Cool’s Chilli Sauce from the High Peak, Hallsford Farm Produce from Carlisle and their traditional Cumberland Sausages, award-winning Hafod Brewing Company from Mold, Stoke on Trent’s Just Perfect Wines, and Rossendale’s Mr Fitzpatrick’s award-winning vintage cordials.

New exhibitors will include Pimp your Mayo with mayo creations, Liverpool’s The Cheese Counter, and 8:22 from St Helens, whose chefs produce unusual pickles and relishes in small batches.

With Sweet Company hails from Ellesmere Port and produces all things honey-related – with real fruits, superfoods and also honey infusions, while Stonehouse Smokery sells smoked olives, butter and sea salt plus venison and pheasant charcuterie.

The final new exhibitor is Buck & Birch, who produce AELDER – a wild-spiced elderberry liqueur and AMAROSA, a wild Scottish spritz liqueur.

There will also be two live music stages at Love Lane and the Bowling Green.

Silk FM will run both stages and festival volunteer Kevin Lemon organises the entertainment.

Festival Friday at Love Lane will feature Robin Soleimani of Stepping Lane, Dave Chesworth, a classic vocalist performing internationally, and quirky uke player and singer-songwriter Marc Gallagher.

There will also be talented guitarist and solo singer Erika Ignata, and popular duo Baxter bringing their energy to the penultimate set before Friday night headliners, Tokyo Misfires hit the stage.

At the Bowling Green stage on Friday kicks off with Kelley Tigerheart, a Nantwich vocalist, plus three-piece Angels of Harlem. Oscar Phillips is next as a young, talented guy who blends raw folk and acoustic grunge classics with bold, message-driven song-writing.

Mid afternoon sets are performed by alternative rock/pop duo Minstrels of Mischief and the high energy sound created by the lovely Disco Divas.

Five-piece band XL5 will finish off the night, renowned for entertaining the crowds with classics from decades of music, they will leave us with an unforgettable night.
