
Audlem continued their excellent form with an excellent 1-7 away win at Premier Division club Alderman in the first round of the David Salmon Memorial Trophy.
Ben Walker scored a hat-trick, and Nick Gregory scored a brace.
Cameron Rodgers and Will Cork also contributed to the goals tally. Jake Watson got on the scoresheet for the home side.
Inter Arena also had a good morning as they knocked out fellow Division One club AFC Dishers.
Oscar Cookson, Liam Sumner, Luke Jones, Billy Jani, Connor Porter and Joe Hodson all got on the scoresheet.
Alan Czarpracki scored the two Dishers’ goals. Inter Arena were five goals to the good at half time.
Ruskin Park were the second Division One club to knock out Premier Division opposition as they beat Nantwich Pirates 2-1 at home.
James Telford got both goals for Ruskin and the Pirates’ goal was scored by Ramone Brown.
This result truly opens up the competition, as the Pirates were likely one of the early favourites.
White Horse left it late to secure their spot in the next round of the competition as they beat Crewe Rovers 2-1, in what was a spirited display for the young CRSFL debutants.
Josh Preston and Josh White were the goalscorers for the Horse and Billy Palin got the goal for Crewe Rovers.
The second-round draw for the David Salmon Memorial Trophy will take place in November.
In the Division One Cup, it is Nantwich Town that will progress to the next stage as they beat C&N 6-1.
Danny Griggs scored a hat trick for the home side and other goals were scored by Mark Chandler, Lee McGuinness and Pete Robinson.

Cameron Sant scored the consolation goal for C&N.
Nantwich Town will face Lostock Gralam in the next round.
In the Premier Division, 10-man Cooper Buckley hosted Winsford Over 3 on the Barony.
The spoils were only able to be shared as neither team could take the winning goal, resulting in a 3-3 draw.
Harry Griffiths got all three for Cooper Buckley, and Ashley Rice got a brace for Winsford.
The third Winsford goal was scored by Tom Stanton.
