A Nantwich teenager has made the Wales Under 21s hockey team to play in the Junior World Cup in Chile.
And now Freya Diamond and her team-mates are trying to raise funds so they can afford to travel to the tournament in Santiago.
Freya, 19, has launched a Crowdfunding page in a bid to raise the funds for the trip in six weeks after Government funding for the sport was slashed.
Freya started at Crewe Vagrants in Willaston as an eight-year-old and progressed to Deeside to play at higher level.
She finished off at Timperley and now plays in the Premier Division for Nottingham University, where she is a student of Crimonology.

She said: “Juggling international competition with university demands requires focus and resilience, traits that I demonstrate daily.
“Whether I’m training on the pitch, travelling for matches, or engaging in criminological research, I approach every challenge with passion and purpose.
“My achievements at such a young age highlight my strong work ethic and ambition to continue developing both as an athlete and as a scholar in my chosen field.
“So we are hoping to raise funds to help us go to the Junior World Cup to play and represent Wales to be as successful as we possibly can in our venture.”
Freya, who went to Bishop Heber School, was just 16 when she earned her first call up to play hockey for Wales in the U16s European Championships.
Her proud mum Nikki said: “Hard work and determination pays off!
“A big thankyou to everyone who has supported her past and present – Deeside Ramblers Hockey Club, Crewe Vagrants Hockey Club, Bishop Heber High School, Alan Lewis, Chris Calam, Katie Gibbs-Blythe current coach Andy Mitchell and to sponsor Ritual Hockey.”
