A social media star, a choir, hospice children, families, staff and shoppers were all present for the opening of the new Hope House Tŷ Gobaith children’s hospice shop in Nantwich.
The store has moved a few yards across High Street to the former B&M on Swine Market and refurbished it for a more accessible shopping experience.
Along with the families of Hayley, Freddie and Rose who all attend Hope House in Oswestry for respite care, the ribbon was cut by Nantwich Mayor Cllr Mary Slinn.
And there to inspect the pre-loved fashion and homewares was internet and TV personality Jen Graham, aka Charity Shop Girl, who even spent £100!
The store now offers access to all abilities with a ramp and less steps and a clean, spacious layout inside.
Cllr Slinn said: “It was a delight and a privilege to have been asked to open Hope House shop in Nantwich.
“The store is bigger and brighter than the old shop. More importantly, it is accessible to all, I am sure it will be a great success.
“Hope House provides respite care for children across Cheshire, Shropshire, and Wales, so I would encourage everyone to pop along and see what is on offer, perhaps bag a bargain.
“Talking of which I love the paper bags that the purchased goods go in such a wonderful eye-catching design.”

Using her popular Instagram channel @charityshopgirlcsg, influencer Jen challenged her followers to choose their favourite Christmas jumper from a selection she picked out on her visit.
She also displayed some designer goods from the likes of Escada and Me&M that she picked up at a great price.
The Cheshire star, regularly seen on This Morning, has been a big supporter of Hope House Ty Gobaith children’s hospices and buying fashionable finds.
Music was provided by South Cheshire’s own The Funky Choir who delighted with their popular three-part harmonies.
Hope House retail and trading operations manager Lindy Welch-Smart said: “People are changing the way they are shopping, and we are proud to be investing in Nantwich.
“We enjoy great support here and are confident that this will help us to raise even more money to fund our vital services for local children and their families.”
The new store is at 10 Swine Market, Nantwich.
