While for some, the current cold snap is proving a headache – for many it produces stunning, picturesque winter scenes like these!
Snow seems a rare occasion in recent years, so many have taken advantage of working from home or school closures to enjoy it.
These excellent aerial images from local photographer Jonathan White show the town and local villages covered in the white stuff.
More snow fell this morning (January 6th) and forecasters say there could be more on the way this weekend following a couple of days of slow thaw.
As always, be careful out and about and heed the warnings from emergency services if driving, or walking near frozen ponds or canals.
Many schools and local libraries remain closed today for safety reasons after freezing temperatures overnight left some areas very icy and dangerous.
