Nantwich Pirates overcame Winsford Over 3 in the only Crewe Regional Sunday Premier Division game to survive the weather.
In a game that produced eight goals, it was the home side who came out on top 5-3 after braces from Mike Truan and Eddie Warrington, as well as a goal from Chris Stokes.
Ashley Rice also scored a brace for Winsford, with Ben Miller getting a goal as well.
In Division 1, NHB scored two goals in each half to beat Crewe Rovers 4-0 in Bunbury.
James Thorburn scored twice, Pete Aidley added one, and the fourth was netted by a Crewe Rovers player.
The result puts NHB back in title contention as they return to the promotion places.
It was first against second at the time of kick-off as Ruskin Park welcomes league leaders Nantwich Town to their new home at the Cumberland Arena.
And there was nothing at all between the sides throughout the fixture.
The scores were locked at 1-1 at the break and the final whistle was 2-2.
Ruskin Parks goals were scored by Michael Smith and Evans Jones. Daniel Dodd and John Proudlove got on the score sheet for Nantwich Town.
