
Nantwich Players amateur theatre group have unveiled their new 2026-27 season of show.
And theatre fans are in line for a season of rich variety with 10 new productions hitting the stage up until July 2027.
First up will be an adaptation of the famous “1984” novel by George Orwell, adapted by Ryan Craig and directed by Jeremy Acklam. This will be showing between Friday September 25th to Saturday October 3rd.
Then there will be “Education, Education, Education” by The Wardrobe Ensemble, directed by Bethany Gail (NP Studio), on between Thursday October 29th to Sunday November 1st.
This will be followed by “Bleak Expectations” by Mark Evans, directed by Chris Ridge, between Friday 11th December to Saturday December 19th.
“Sheila’s Island” by Tim Firth and directed by Simon Porter will be on Friday February 5th to Saturday 13th February 2027.
Youth Theatre Production, to be announced at a later date, will be on between Wednesday 17th to Saturday 20th March 2027.
“My Mother Said I Never Should” by Charlotte Keatley and directed by Maximilian Clay (NP Studio) is scheduled for Thursday 8th to Sunday 11th April 2027.
“The Man Who Shot Liberty Valance”, adapted by Jethro Compton from the short story by Dorothy M Johnson and directed by Chris Finney, will be on Friday 14th to Saturday 22nd May 2027.
And “The Incident Room” by Olivia Hirst and David Byrne, directed by Megan Goode, is planned for Friday 25th June to Saturday 3rd July 2027.
And finally “Queers & Snatches” curated by Mark Gatiss and Vicky Featherstone, directed by Holly Bevins-Jones (NP Studio), is scheduled for Thursday 15th to Sunday 18th July 2027.
