League leaders Nantwich Town Women delivered another commanding performance with a 6-1 win over Wirral Phoenix Women at the Swansway Stadium.
The win maintains the Dabbers’ lead at top of the North West Women’s Regional League Division One South.
Poppy Emery returned to the bench after injury, while new signing Corie Mather was also among the substitutes.
The hosts were in ruthless form from the outset and raced into a 3-1 half-time lead after a dominant opening 45 minutes.
Although Wirral briefly threatened to make a contest of it with a goal, Nantwich’s response was emphatic.
Leading the charge once again was prolific striker Amanda Fallon, who netted a clinical hat-trick to take her tally to 35 goals for the season.
Further strikes from Katie Greenwood, Levi Lander and substitute Alicia Hatton completed the rout and secured three more vital points.

Tabby Rushton produced a commanding display at the back and was named GOAT Nantwich Player of the Match.
Mellor said after the game: “I thought we started the game really well and set the tone early.
“We had a little dip after that and credit to Wirral, they stayed in the game and got themselves back into it with the penalty.
“What I was really pleased with was our response, the third goal to make it 3-1 was an outstanding team goal and from that moment on it was all us.
“I was delighted with Corie on her debut at right back, she was excellent and fitted in seamlessly.
“Amanda was clinical again and a hat-trick to take her to 35 goals for the season says everything about her quality and consistency.
“Gricey on the right was so dangerous in the first 45 and Tabby was outstanding and won all her duels.
“Overall, a very good afternoon’s work now it’s onto the next one.”
The result keeps the Dabbers top of the table on 38 points from 15 matches, with 12 wins, two draws and one defeat, alongside a formidable +52 goal difference.
The Dabbers are at the business end of the 2025/2026 season with three more League fixtures remaining: Warrington Town FC Women (home, 1st March, 2pm kick-off); Runcorn Linnets FC Ladies (away, 8th March, 2pm); Manchester Laces (home, 22nd March, 2pm).
