puppies abandoned - Animal Lifeline

An animal charity has appealed to trace the mum of seven puppies left abandoned in a box by the side of a busy Nantwich road.

A passerby found the puppies, thought to be Huskies, in a cardboard box by Middlewich Road on Monday night and took them to a local vets who contacted Animal Lifeline.

Since then, one of the puppies has died but the other six are still fighting for life.

Now the charity wants to find the mother who could need help as the puppies were very recently born.

Emma Caskie, of Animal Lifeline, said: “There were seven originally but sadly the smallest female died this morning (February 19th) so we have six left.

“The finder said they were on Middlewich Road in a cardboard box on Monday evening and they took them to Nantwich vets who contacted me.

“We are not sure if the finders owned the puppies mum but the pups didn’t seem to have been away from mum long as they weren’t cold or really hungry.

“We believe them to be huskies and are concerned the mum could need veterinary care.

“As a charity we would like to offer the owners a vet check up for the mum if she needs it.

“If she couldn’t feed the puppies for whatever reason or didn’t want the pups there may be a veterinary reason that could put her at risk as well as the puppies.”

  3. It’s disgusting for people to dump domestic animals in places .when they knowing shouldn’t of taken them on if they can’t look after them.why human race so stupid.any one who is cruel to animals in anyway should have same done to them.it seems dumping.of unwanted animals is happening far to much this year.its not clever only nutters abandon domestic animals.tougher punishments needed for this.criminal action.we are suppose to be a animal loving nation.more like a hypercritical one.

  4. It’s difficult to comment anything about this without some harsh swearing. I so hope karma will bite back on these horrid excuse of humans one day and have the same callous treatment returned to them in their lives. They know who they are…and should be absolutely ashamed.

  5. People who do this are in my mind dangerous People, to abandon and leave to die any living creatures shows you are lacking in any humanity and empathy towards life. This also in my opinion means you would also likely treat human life the same. It’s so cruel and callous that someone could do this to helpless babies.

  6. Absolutely despicable and inhumane how can anyone be so cruel to Animals

  8. I hope mum is found, so sad for all especially mum who will probably be looking for her babies

  9. all you have to do is publish a photo of an adult huskie, you cannot trace the mother without an idea how the breed looks, the puppies don’t resemble any huskie I have seen far too small

  10. How cruel to abandon new born puppies. The dog mum will need checking over. There are some very very cruel people in this world.
