Marmite - cattery - RSPCA Stapeley Grange

RSPCA staff in Nantwich are all of the same opinion – this friendly feline named Marmite deserves a new home!

But the 13-year-old cat has been in the care of RSPCA Stapeley Grange Cattery has been in the charity’s care for 79 days.

She has not been getting an interest from potential adopters and is patiently awaiting a forever home.

Deputy Cattery Manager Nicola Chilton said: “Marmite really is the sweetest girl and is the most loving and affectionate cat that you could wish for.

“She always greets us at the front of the pen with friendly head bumps and an excited quivering tail.

“She even does a happy tippy tappy toe dance to show her enthusiasm. You just cannot get a better reception than that!

“Marmite isn’t big on playtime, which is normal for her age, she is more of a laid back lady who just loves human company and would suit being a gentle and loyal companion for someone who has time and love to offer her.”

In RSPCA care, Marmite has needed some extensive dental work and treatment – and now is ready to find her perfect match.

Nicola added: “She did have a bit of a tough time because she developed an infection after her dental work, requiring several medications.

“She was so well behaved and tolerant of all her treatment; despite needing daily medication, her temperament remained loving and affectionate.

“Now she’s fighting fit and just patiently waiting for a loving home.

“They say Marmite is ‘love it or hate it’… but this Marmite is 100% love!

“She is honestly the sweetest girl and she’s stolen the hearts of all the staff and volunteers here at Stapeley.”

Marmite could live with older children and could potentially live with a cat of a similar age and temperament.

She will need the option of outdoor access once settled into her new home but may decide that she prefers her indoor home comforts and not venture out too much.
