
Two concerts are set to take place on Saturday May 2nd at St Mary’s Church in Nantwich featuring timeless Italian opera classics.
They are designed to be performances of classical and crossover music from professional musicians who have performed with most of the UK’s major opera companies.
They will feature soprano Jennifer Lee, tenor Sam Marston, and the Northern String Quartet.
The first is “Italian Classical Concert – With Love from Italy” from 6.30pm, tickets £25.
The programme will blend Italian opera classics, film music, and mainstream Italian masterpieces.
Sam Marston said: “Expect a carefully curated selection ranging from celebrated operatic arias such as Puccini’s O mio babbino caro and Verdi favourites, through to instantly recognisable melodies including Nessun Dorma, The Godfather Theme, and classic Italian songs such as That’s Amore.”
The second concert from 8.30pm is “Vivaldi Four Seasons”, a carefully curated selection including Vivaldi’s Four Seasons and other breath-taking classical works, creating a memorable and unique performance.
