Roadworks at a busy Nantwich junction are set to take place over four nights, Cheshire East highways have confirmed.
The resurfacing works will take place at the junction of the A51 London Road, Peter De Stapleigh Way and Elwood Way in Stapeley.
They will begin on May 19th and works will be done between 7pm and 6am, with full road closures in place.
A CEC highways spokesperson said: “A road closure will be necessary at all time during the works for the safety of our workforce and members of the public.
“We understand there is no right time to undertake this work.
“However, the scheme has been carefully planned to minimise any inconvenience to road users.”
They say refuse collections will be maintained and access for emergency vehicles.
“We will make every effort to maintain vehicle access to property and business,” highways added.
“However, due to the nature of the works, some inconvenience may still occur and there will be times when point of entry will vary.
“There may also be delays in access due to ongoing plant and machinery movements.”

Why are C/E doing this junction, when there are far worse sections of road in and around Nantwich.
Totally agree with you, and when they’ve repaired that I wander if the rest of the road surfaces , particularly the ever increasing pot holes, locally will be repaired! Me thinks not probably.
I go that way to my doctors it’s absolutely diabolical been repaired many times and I must say inadequately
Just read about repairing London rd..Can you find out when Cheshire highways are going to resurface Rope Lane just over the bridge. They could have done the repairs when they strengthened the bridge and resurfaced it. The road is like a patchwork quilt.I know there many more around Nantwich.
