Hadzilla Cup match action (3) (1)

The Hadzilla Cup charity football match returned to Nantwich and helped raise a whopping £8,400 for Pancreatic Cancer UK.

The event at Nantwich Town’s ground brought together players, families, businesses and supporters from across the community.

Since launching in 2024, the cup has raised more than £30,000 for the charity.

It was created by brothers Martin and Robert Hadzik in memory of their brother Steven who died from pancreatic cancer in 2023.

Organisers praised everybody involved, including players who took part in the match and delivered an entertaining spectacle for supporters.

Food and refreshments were supplied by Really Good Food Co, who also supported the fundraiser with a donation.

Organisers said: “The continued support from the local community is what makes Hadzilla possible year after year.

Attention is already turning to the next fundraiser, Hadzilla Rocks, which takes place on September 5th at The Arena on High Street in Crewe.

The live music event will feature performances from Son of Shinobi and Mutha Humbucker, with all proceeds once again going to Pancreatic Cancer UK.
