Nantwich Town forward Callum Saunders has agreed to sign for the Dabbers for the 2026/27 season.
Saunders surpassed the 150-appearance mark for Nantwich during last year’s campaign.
And he moved past the half century for goals, with those totals now standing at 183 appearances and 56 goals across his different spells.
That puts him in the top 10 in appearances for Nantwich in the NPL era from 2007 onwards and fourth in the top scorers in that period.
Saunders said: “I’m delighted to sign for this season again.
“The management are building a great squad and I can’t wait to bang some more goals in and be a part of it.”
Manager Luke Goddard said: “We had a really good honest conversation together. Cal is the best finisher at the club and would be in the league above this.
“With commitments off the field last year with a successful business, it wasn’t the best version of Cal Saunders which he admits himself.
“But no one doubts the ability he still possesses, and he can be a huge asset to our squad if we can rediscover consistently that threat he offers.
“That’s on him, which he knows, but also us all in the environment we create to give these players the best chance of success so I do hope for Cal and the team we can get him firing week in, week out.”
