Nantwich Food Festival organisers have unveiled the full line-up of top celebrity and local chefs to perform live shows during the three-day event.
Celebrity names like Lisa Faulkner, Jon Watts and Nigel Brown were already signed up for the festival which will be held on September 4th-6th.
And the festival’s popular “Cookalong” will also be available with booking open in a few weeks for people to work alongside skilled chefs.
Now organisers can confirm the other top chefs who will also be appearing.
These include Rookery Hall executive chef, Dion Jones, who has many awards to his name including 3AA rosettes and a silver medal in the Culinary Olympics.
The talented Babna of Manchester’s Babna’s Patisserie will also appear again on festival Friday. With a particular love for French pâtisserie, Babna regularly trains with leading pastry chefs in France.
Nantwich’s St Martha’s restaurant head chef Spyros Vrakas will return to share his expertise in creating great Greek dishes.
And Jill Weatherburn finishes the line-up on Festival Friday.
Following Lisa Faulkner on the Saturday will be Luke Richardson, Head Chef of Sticky Walnut, Chester.
Luke has been cooking for more than 20 years and his true passion is French classics and modern bistro food.
And to finish Festival Saturday is Andrew Soddy, Head Chef at Crewe Hall’s Brasserie.
His background is cooking on luxury cruise liners and high-end restaurants.
On the Sunday, Jon Watts will demonstrate twice, Nigel Brown will return, and there will be a cake-baking competition plus the final local demonstrator Harry Walker, of Nantwich’s own Deuce on Hospital Street.
Festival chef organiser Karen Young said: “The chef demonstrations will all take place in our state of the art, all-weather Food Theatre, sponsored by Reaseheath College, and located in the Love Lane Festival zone.
“So I am delighted to announce the line-up of all the wonderful chefs who will be demonstrating this year at Nantwich.”
Meanwhile, the Festival Team will run a stall at the Farmers Market in Nantwich Town Square on Saturday 26th July and 29th August and also at Societies Day on August 1st for any volunteers seeking information.
