Nantwich Town have signed Aaron Cole from Conference North’s Hinckley and former Derby County trainee Chris Jones, both 20.
Cole also started his career at Derby and has played at Stockport County, Barrow and Hinckley.
Nantwich manager Jimmy Quinn said: “In recent weeks our form has been a bit poor and they have very good pedigree having played in the higher leagues so they will hopefully help us push on.
“Jones played in the Derby County first team but an ankle injury last year hampered his progress. We’re happy to have him on board.”
Quinn added that 6ft 2in Cole is strong and athletic and can play on either wing.
The pair are expected to be in the first team squad for tomorrow’s game against Matlock Town.
Quinn also hopes Caspar Hughes and Ryan Dicker will be fit for the Evo-Stik Premier Division clash.
The extended break due to last weekend’s postponement has given his key duo time to recover from knocks.
“Caspar looks like he will be fit,” said Quinn. “Ryan trained again this week.
“There are one or two positives to take out of the break, but it’s been so stop-start and we are all just looking forward to playing again.
“The pitch is looking a lot better. There was a lot of water on it last Saturday, although that seems to have subsided now.”
Nantwich won 5-0 at Matlock on the opening day of the season, but the Gladiators have improved and are unbeaten in their last five.
“Everything fell our way in the first game, but obviously that was a long time ago and this will be a very different game,” added Quinn.
“They are in good form. It is very important that we get back to winning ways.
“All the players are looking forward to it. If we can get a couple of wins under our belt, we will be back in contention for the play-offs again.
“That’s the target. We have got to show a bit of consistency. We have played well at times, but we have also conceded soft goals.
“If we can tighten up a bit at the back we will do well, because we definitely have players who can score goals for us.”
Kick off at Weaver Stadium is 3pm. Tickets are £5 adults, concessions £3, car parking is free.
