Nantwich Town have appointed local businessman Tony Davison to its Board of Directors.
Tony recently retired as managing director of Bostik, parent company of league sponsors Evo-Stik.
He will be a familiar face to Nantwich fans as he has been a regular at the Weaver Stadium and a keen follower of non-league football.
The 55-year-old lives just outside Nantwich and since retiring from Bostik has taken a keen interest in the fortunes of the Dabbers.
Tony had 15 years of experience at Bostik before taking over as the company’s UK managing director in 2007 and he is also chair of governors at Stafford College.
“I’m very pleased Tony has agreed to become a director of Nantwich Town,” said chairman Jon Gold.
“Tony’s commercial skills and business acumen will be of huge benefit to the club in helping take us forward. It’s great to have him on board.”
Meanwhile, Nantwich Town have reduced admission prices for the Doodson Sports Cup clash against Curzon Ashton next Tuesday March 12, kick off 7.45pm.
The League Cup is the Dabbers’ only chance of lifting silverware this season and is keen to get a big crowd for the fourth round tie.
Admission to the game has been cut to £6 adults, £4 concessions, £1 under 16s.
“We are grateful to Curzon for agreeing to the reduced prices,” said Gold.
“They are flying high in the First Division North so it will be a tough and entertaining game.
“Our supporters have been fantastic all season and it would be great it they could turn out in force for this one and get behind the lads again.”
