Staff at Boughey Distribution in Wardle, Nantwich have helped to raise £1,300 in memory of a colleague who died.
Workers at the grocery logistics businesses, have been raising money for Prostate Cancer UK.
They decided to raise funds after the death of their colleague Mark Smith, from Winsford, from the illness earlier this year.
The first event was the inaugural Mark Smith Memorial Golf Day, sponsored by Arco.
This took place at Pryors Hayes Golf Club in Tarvin on July 27.
The golf day has been followed up by raffles and other activities, raising a total of £1,300.
Representatives of the Boughey fundraisers and members of Mark’s family were able to present a cheque to Katie Phillips from Prostate Cancer UK, on December 9.
The team plans to continue efforts and have set the date for the second Mark Smith Golf Day, on June 20, 2014.
There will be other events through the year to keep up the fund raising momentum.
