A cyclist was seriously injured after an accident outside a school in Nantwich.
The 41-year-old man, who has not been named, was injured outside Brine Leas School on Audlem Road.
Police had to close the road for a short time, and the air ambulance helicopter was called to the scene, landing at the back of Brine Leas School.
One witness who contacted Nantwichnews said she saw the cyclist and the car collide at the entrance to the school.
The cyclist was taken to Leighton Hospital by land ambulance.
Police reopened the road shortly after the accident which happened at around 12.40pm today. They confirmed the car was being driven by a man.
PC Nicola Rimmer, of Cheshire Police, said: “The cyclist is suffering from suspected serious injuries but not sure as to the extent of those at the moment.
