Nantwich ice cream firm Snugburys has launched a festive Cinderella-themed ice cream for audiences at Crewe Lyceum during panto season.
The ‘Perfect Princess’ white chocolate ice cream will be available at Crewe Lyceum during the run of Cinderella, starring Gareth Gates, between December 12 and January 3.
“We are extremely pleased to partner with Snugburys for this limited edition ice cream,” said Clare Hambleton, hospitality manager at Crewe Lyceum.
“As the home of Cheshire’s biggest family pantomime, it is a fantastic opportunity to celebrate our magical Christmas spectacular with an inventive new flavour from one of Cheshire’s favourite ice cream brands.”
The Lyceum’s hospitality team worked with Snugburys, based on Chester Road, to develop a new taste with a special pantomime twist.
The white chocolate flavour was inspired by Cinderella’s carriage transformation and the classic white chocolate mice sweets.
A pink marshmallow ripple which runs through the ice cream was a firm favourite with early young taste testers.
Cleo Sadler, head of production at Snugburys, said: “We had a lot of fun working with the Lyceum to come up with an ice cream flavour that captures the spirit of Cinderella and will appeal to children and adults.
“Pantomime and ice cream are both traditions that we know families love to share, making it a perfect partnership.”
Family-run Snugburys, in Hurleston, has produced more than 40 ice cream flavours including Damson and Sloe Gin and Christmas Pudding.
Cinderella, starring Gareth Gates, is already on-track to smash previous attendance records.
