Police in Nantwich have warned residents after a spate of shed thefts and vehicle crime.

PC Nicky Berry, of Crewe LPU Nantwich Beat, said there has been a rise in thefts from sheds and insecure vehicles in Nantwich town centre and Stapeley n recent weeks.

She said: “This is just a reminder to keep your property locked and secured, not to keep valuables on display and to report any suspicious activity in your area.

“Also secure your push bike, even if you are only nipping into a shop for a few moments, as it will be gone in a blink of an eye if you don’t.”

There has also been one theft incident in the Bunbury area from an outbuilding.

Officers are urging residents to check buildings are left secure and valuable equipment is security marked and out of sight.
