A salon in Nantwich has launched an Employee of the Year scheme as it celebrates record growth for the year end.
Word of mouth recommendation helped Steven Burgin Hairdressing of Nantwich grow its business by 16% in 2018 and January has seen the client base increase to more than 1,000.
The salon was founded on Hospital Street in 2000 and has clients ranging from the age of eight to a glamorous gran of 85!
Owner Steve Burgin said: “We are strong on social media, regularly posting pictures of wonderful cuts and colours, but it’s still word of mouth recommendation that brings new people to our door.
“There’s fierce competition from over 30 salons in the Nantwich area and I take great pride in standing the test of time and welcoming more customers year on year.
“They come from a 50 mile radius and we make sure all are treated like VIPs.
“Competition is tough but generally people are willing to invest in a quality experience which we aim to deliver every time.”
Mr Burgin has snipped and styled people from across Cheshire and beyond for 35 years and has notched up awards including Business Manager of the Year award for Joico, the American hair products brand he uses in the salon.
In 2018, he was honoured once again as national runner up.
He added: “It was a fantastic 2018 and Employee of the Year gives back to the team.
“Our winner Laura Hedges has introduced many new clients to the salon and has great feedback, thanks to her bespoke service and expert eye for colour.”
Laura, an Advanced Style Director, received champagne and £100 at a presentation ceremony in Café De Paris, Nantwich.
Runner up Denise Hartley, salon manager, received a bouquet designed by Nantwich florist Jacqui O.
This year the salon will continue its education programme for upcoming young stylists and is introducing Nano Keratin treatments for smooth and silky hair.
