A man has been arrested after another was found with serious injuries at a house in Nantwich, police said.
A 28-year-old man was taken to Royal Stoke University Hospital with what officers describe as “serious but not life threatening” injuries.
He was found in the early hours of Easter Sunday (April 12) after police were called to a disturbance at a house on Millfield Mews, off Blagg Avenue.
He was treated by paramedics at the scene before being taken to hospital by ambulance.
A spokesperson for Cheshire Police said: “A short time later a 24-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of wounding with intent at an address on Queen’s Drive in Nantwich.
“He has been questioned by detectives and released on conditional bail.”
Residents nearby said police cordoned off the scene of the incident for most of Sunday, and forensics team were seen on the site.
One said: “There are a lot of elderly people living around here, and this has really frightened them.”
