A pensioner was seriously injured in Wistaston after he collided with a cyclist while crossing a busy road.
The 83-year-old suffered serious head injuries in the accident on Nantwich Road, outside the Ye Olde Manor pub.
The victim, from Crewe, was crossing when he was in collision with a pedal cycle.
He was taken to Leighton Hospital where his condition is described as “stable but serious”.
Any witnesses to the collision is asked to contact Cheshire Police on the new 101 non-emergency number and quote incident 701 of December 1.
