Fireworks are returning to St Anne’s Catholic Primary School in Nantwich as it gears up for a bonanza Bonfire night celebration.

FOSA (Friends of St Anne’s), who are organising the event, hope for a good turn out from the town and surrounding area.

The school, on Wellington Road, is resurrecting its annual tradition of a family friendly fireworks display on Friday November 4.

Families can enjoy a professional, reduced noise, sound sensitive display by Crewe-based Blitz Fireworks aimed at primary school age children and pre-schoolers.

The fireworks will be launched by a lucky pupil and winner of a drawing competition which the school has organised.

Chair of FOSA Clare Peberdy said: “Loud firework displays can sometimes upset small children so we thought it would be a good idea to put on a display that everyone can enjoy, no matter how young.

“We’re very excited about bringing back an annual fireworks display and hope lots of families will come along to support us.”

The event will also comprise fairground rides, a barbecue and other refreshments.

Blitz will also be hosting an educational fireworks demonstration for children, who are encouraged to bring along their Guy Fawkes creations.

There will be a £25 voucher up for grabs for the best Guy Fawkes (entries submitted by 5.30pm on the day).

Gates are open from 5pm until 8pm.  Tickets are available on the gate, £3 adults and £2 children.
