A Nantwich musician has been honoured with a rare and prestigious medal from The Worshipful Company of Musicians.
Ian Raisbeck is the recipient of the Mortimer Medal for 2026, made by the City of London’s historic livery company formed in 1500.
The Audlem Christmas Lights switch-on took place in the village with a host of entertainment on offer.
A choir from Audlem St James’ Primary School performed on the steps of St James’ Church and a brass band performed outside Williams’ Newsagent.
The award-winning Fodens Brass Band is coming to Nantwich to stage its own “Last Night of the Proms”. The band will be performing at Richmond Village Nantwich on Saturday June 15 in the beautiful grounds of the retirement village on St Joseph’s Way.
