A busy route in and out of Nantwich is now closed for eight weeks as major drainage works get under way. Wellington Road is now closed off between Station Road and Parkfield Drive.
An exhibition is being held today (June 21) to show Nantwich residents plans for a new drainage system in part of the town. Nantwichnews revealed how the proposed works could see the closure of Wellington Road for up to six weeks this summer.
Nantwich Litter Group has been making a clean sweep of the town’s parks and streets in a bid to tidy up Nantwich for the summer. A recent “Group Pick” targeted Brookfield Park all the way through to the Morrisons carpark via Waterlode, Station Road and Pillory Street.
A park user has warned residents to be wary of dangerous dogs after he was attacked twice in Nantwich’s Brookfield Park. The 62-year-old victim said he was walking along the footpath outside Brookfield House when one dog charged at him and began barking and jumping to try and bite him.
