The Gables to be transferred to Nantwich Town Council for £1

The historic building known as The Gables in Nantwich looks set to be transferred to town council control – for £1.

A report to be discussed by current owner Cheshire East Council recommends the asset transfer of the three-storey building and car park on Beam Street.

Nantwich Mayor Christine Farrall joined guest speaker Fiona Bruce MP to help celebrate 75 years of Cheshire East Citizens Advice Bureaux.

Citizens Advice Bureaux (CAB) first appeared in 1939, when more than 200 emergency centres were established throughout the UK and were all governed by a Central Committee in London.
