A first-half goal from Nicky Platt gave Nantwich Town an impressive 1-0 win over promotion-chasing Curzon Ashton at the Tameside Stadium.
The goal came on 41 minutes with Platt turning in a Liam Shotton cross for his first goal since his return to the Weaver Stadium.
Nantwich Town were dumped out of the Doodson Sports Cup, losing 3-1 at home to lower league Curzon Ashton. In front of just over 100 fans, the Dabbers’ dubious home form slumped once again.
The freezing weather has forced Nantwich Town’s cup match at home to Curzon Ashton to be postponed. The Dabbers were due to host the Doodson Sport Cup tie at the Weaver Stadium tonight (March 12).
