75-homes plan for Stapeley deferred for second time

A Nantwich housing application has been deferred for a second time for a traffic assessment – with a parish councillor warning “until there’s a fatality, nobody’s going to take us seriously”.

The proposal from Nightingale Land for up to 75 homes off Broad Lane was deferred earlier this month by the strategic planning board (SPB) for a traffic assessment to identify any cumulative impact.

A Nantwich housing application has been deferred with one councillor saying he didn’t want to put his name to a scheme which resulted in someone’s death because a full traffic assessment hadn’t been done.

Cheshire East planners had recommended councillors approve the outline application from Nightingale Land for up to 75 homes off Broad Lane.

Controversial Nantwich South housing scheme deferred by councillors

A controversial 188-home scheme for Nantwich has been deferred by councillors because of safety concerns over a play area and the lack of allotments.

Cheshire East’s planning officers had recommended the strategic planning board approve the reserved matters application from David Wilson Homes and Muller for the phase one development on land at Peter Destapleigh Way at Stapeley.
