Landlords with longer-term empty properties face higher taxes as Cheshire East Council looks to toughen its stance.

They want to clamp down on the owners of empty homes which are being left unoccupied and unfurnished the long periods.
A homeowner from Willaston, Nantwich is among those facing court action in a crackdown on unsightly empty properties. The warning from Cheshire East Council comes after a Crewe man was convicted in court for allowing an empty home to become dilapidated.
