The Nantwich Singers will be performing in St Mary’s Church as part of the Remembrance Sunday commemorations on November 11.
They will be singing the Requiem by Gabriel Fauré as part of the events to mark the end of the Great War, 100 years ago on this day.
Nantwich Museum has won a Heritage Lottery Fund grant to fund an exhibition recalling the early years of the Great War. The exhibition, called “Nantwich and the Great War”, looks at the impact of war on a market town.
Nantwich Museum wants people in the town with any memorabilia connected to the Great War 1914-18 to come forward. The Pillory Street venue’s research group is focusing on the impact of the war on the local community in preparation for a major exhibition to take place next summer.
