Children’s shoe recycling hub launches in South Cheshire

A children’s shoe recycling hub is being launched in South Cheshire with support from housing association The Guinness Partnership and charity Sal’s Shoes.

The hub will collect and redistribute school shoes to children living in the Crewe area.

A bid to revive plans for new homes on a stretch of Shavington countryside has been rebuffed by councillors.

Keyworker Homes and the Guinness Partnership wanted to build 44 affordable homes in Newcastle Road – on land to the west of the Esso garage.

South Cheshire homes provider Wulvern Housing Ltd has become part of The Guinness Partnership Ltd following a legal merger.

Wulvern’s 5,500 homes, including a number of extra care schemes across Cheshire and Staffordshire, have transferred to Guinness.
