Nantwich Town Council has appointed a new Town Clerk.
Samantha Roberts will start in early autumn, replacing Ian Hope who is retiring from the council after seven years of service.

Nantwich Civic Hall staff go DIY to save taxpayers £10,000
Big-hearted volunteers in Nantwich have been praised for saving the taxpayer £10,000 on revamping the town’s Civic Hall.
Staff at the centre have clubbed together to carry out a range of repairs and decorations at the venue on Market Street.

Rail chiefs have been forced into a rethink over plans to close Nantwich’s three level crossings in the run up to Christmas. Network Rail wanted to close the London Road, Wellington Road and Shrewbridge Road crossings for several days in December.
New clerk appointed by Nantwich Town Council
Nantwich Town Council has appointed a new town clerk to take the council forward into 2012. Former clerk Riddell Graham has been replaced by Ian Hope (pictured), a former planning officer.
