The RSPCA wildlife centre and cattery in Nantwich has teamed up with Sainsbury’s to hold collection points for donations of tinned dog or cat food.
Bosses at the Middlewich Road store approached the RSPCA Stapeley Grange manager Lee Stewart with the idea of holding collection points for food for the London Road animal centre.
The Wingate Centre in Wrenbury has been chosen as the Sainsbury’s Nantwich store’s charity of the year. And fund-raising is off to a flying start by selling the store’s award-winning cheese at the Nantwich Show.
Five French college students have arrived in Nantwich to improve their English and to extend their knowledge of the retail trade. They are studying a Baccalaureate de Commerce and have been invited by Sainsbury’s on Middlewich Road to join their staff for five weeks.
