Nantwich teenager Joe Rowlands recognised in New Year Honours List

Courageous Nantwich teenager Joe Rowlands has been awarded the Queen’s Commendation for Bravery in the New Year Honours List.

The 14-year-old has been named on the Civilian Gallantry List for his incredible bravery in saving his dad Paul’s life during a dramatic kayaking incident off the coast of Anglesey.

Nantwich teenager Joe Rowlands has been honoured in the Pride of Britain awards for his courageous rescue of his dad in a dramatic sea kayaking incident.

And a second Cheshire youngster – Max Johnson from Winsford – is also being honoured for his work in bringing a change to the laws on organ donation.
