Nantwich Litter Group has been making a clean sweep of the town’s parks and streets in a bid to tidy up Nantwich for the summer. A recent “Group Pick” targeted Brookfield Park all the way through to the Morrisons carpark via Waterlode, Station Road and Pillory Street.
Nantwich Litter Group is on the hunt for more volunteers to help out on a “group pick” day. Members are meeting on Wednesday May 9 from 10am at Brookfield Car Park to help clear away litter in parts of the town.
Nantwich Litter Group volunteers armed themselves with bags and gloves for a “litter pick” around Barony Park. The event achieved significant results with several bags filled with rubbish.
Volunteers working for the Nantwich Litter Group have been producing positive results for the town. Now the group, coordinated by Nantwich Town Cllr John Lewis, is appealing for more help to build on the progress being made.
