Reaseheath College in Nantwich will not merge with North Shropshire College after they failed to secure Government funding for the move.
The colleges have been working together for over a year, sharing best practice and quality improvement projects.
Reaseheath College in Nantwich and North Shropshire College are forming a federation which will benefit students, communities and businesses.
Both colleges specialise in land-based subjects and technical and vocational qualifications.
Reaseheath College and North Shropshire College could soon be combining resources and expertise, it has emerged.
An agreement could see them working in “close collaboration” as both are specialist land-based institutions.
