Police have confirmed an 11th person has been arrested in the investigation into serious offences alleged at a religious group in Crewe.

Cheshire Police are probing allegations of serious sexual offences, forced marriage and modern slavery, involving members of a religious group called the Ahmadi Religion of Peace and Light.

Crewe and Nantwich MP Connor Naismith has revealed how he and his staff were “harassed, intimidated and abused” last night after high profile police raids on a religious group in Crewe.

Nine people were arrested by police yesterday investigating serious offences at the Ahmadi Religion of Peace and Light, based at Webb House in Crewe.
