A South Cheshire retail park could soon be serving up padel tennis as its latest offering if Cheshire East Council gives the go-ahead.
An application has been submitted for five padel courts and a clubhouse on vacant land at the Grand Junction Retail Park in Crewe.
Roads were closed, shops shut and areas evacuated amid the Macon House blaze because of asbestos contamination fears, Cheshire East Council confirmed today.
Macon Way and Grand Junction Retail Park were reopened at around 11am today following the fire which broke out in Macon House yesterday shortly after 4.30pm.
Nantwich and Crewe shoppers are being warned by police about fraudsters targeting people at Grand Junction Retail Park.
A woman in her 50s had her card stolen and cash taken from her account in one incident on December 2.
