Sainsbury’s Nantwich has helped a local village secure the future of its Rose Queen and summer fete. Willaston Parish Council has been presented with a £100 community grant which will ensure the continuance of the annual event.
By Jonathan White Wistaston Village Fete attracted hundreds of people, despite it being held indoors for only the second time in its 32-year history. Rain forced the event organised by Wistaston Community Council indoors – but there was plenty of entertainment for the crowds.
By Jonathan White The rain didn’t dampen the Jubilee spirit as people turned out in their hundreds for the Willaston Jubilee and Rose Queen Fete. The event was staged on the Letty Spencer Playing Fields in Wybunbury Road, Willaston.
