History was made this week at one of South Cheshire’s best-kept secrets, as the Peacock Railway welcomed visitors for its first-ever Mid-week Running Day.

The miniature railway behind The Peacock Inn in Willaston – run by the South Cheshire Model Engineering Society – offered rides around its picturesque quarter-mile 5-inch gauge track.
