Ashes cricket legend Ashley Giles MBE will be the headline speaker at Crewe Vagrants CC’s Sportsman’s Dinner, the club has announced.
The former England cricketer and 2005 Ashes hero will headline the event on Saturday September 6, kicking off at 7.30pm.
There are a few remaining tickets for the Nantwich Town Sportsman’s dinner with former Welsh international Mickey Thomas.
“An Evening with Mickey Thomas” will feature the former Manchester United, Stoke City and Wrexham Legend as guest speaker at the club’s annual dinner.
British Lions and England hooker Lee Mears will be in Nantwich at a fund-raising Sportsman’s Dinner.
The event is being organised by Crewe & Nantwich RUFC at the club’s Vagrants ground on Newcastle Road, Willaston.
The Crown Hotel in Nantwich is laying on three nights of entertainment to help punters banish the winter blues. Former Crewe Alex and Middlesborough football star Craig Hignett will be in town on Thursday January 26.
