Free teddy bears are being dished out to newborns at Leighton Hospital as part of a 40th anniversary. The bears are being handed out by the Leighton Hospital League of Friends team, which celebrates 40 years since its launch in 1973.

Medical and nursing staff at Leighton Hospital have thanked members of a Freemasons group for donating over 10,000 teddy bears for child patients. The bears are given to poorly youngsters to comfort them while being treated at the emergency department at Leighton Hospital.
